Lower risk creates consistency. Higher risk reduces consistency. Good decisions continuously reduce your risk while increasing the opponent’s.
1 – Secure Par Score
Be careful; don't try to score maximum number of runs. Secure par score when batting first. As you lose wickets, slow down.

2 – Rely on Singles
If par is around 100, singles can build the score with less risk than boundaries. In the match below, most of our runs came this way.


3 – Find Gaps
Clearing a 30-yard fielder carries less risk than clearing the boundary. Choose shots that exploit gaps before trying to hit over deep fielders.
Exploiting the vacant long-on:
Clearing mid-off instead of attacking the protected leg side:
